Well shit its been a while...I started my new job today, I think I'ma enjoy my time there. The parking is expensive, but everything else seems to be a1. I spent the weekend at my alma mater Jarvis Christian College. Shout out to TA Apes for throwing the crunkest party that school has seen this year thus far. I'm glad everybody was happy to see me, and I missed college for like one day, then I was like fucc this I'm glad I'm gone. Although their new dormitories are the shit forreal! And I got the spend time with a special female friend (you ain't got nothin to worry about) This is in addition to kickin it with my niggas A.P. Huff and D. Cokes and also givin my nigga J. Will a hard time lol.
My nigga Laron at the school holdin it down with his new music getting good responses and I'm glad to be associated with what he's doin. I got 4 beats on the project he's been pushin, and the nigga is talented. So a lot of people I believe have been questioning me and what exactly do I do. How do I get inspired? I mean how does some young nigga from Fort Worth, TX make beats that DON'T sound like the stanky leg or the dirty booty or the booty meat or whatever dance is out now. Well shit for one I'm inspired by good music PERIOD. Listening to old D' Angelo will make me wanna step my drum game up. Listening to old Lauryn Hill will make me want my beats to sound more whole. Some producers challenge me to go above and beyond and really make some good shit such as Alchemist, 9th Wonder, and most recently Black Milk. I just appreciate how these niggas flip samples in their own way. Some of my colleagues in this shit help me get inspired too. My dude MidiMarc (midimarc.blogspot.com) got this fresh produce shit he's been doin where he's givin out beats for the LOW, I mean LOW even lower than I was given em at my lowest lol, so any of you rappers that need beats that are on point but don't have the pockets holla at that nigga cuz I ain't doin that shit lol! My niggaz Nom and Soze trade beats with me and make me wanna step my shit up too...Biggie's, Jay's and Nas' (first album + Premo collabs) make me wanna step my game up too, so basically I'm inspired by dope music...A Dot McCray
