First blog on this here thing

Alright, so I'm A Dot McCray, people call me A Dot...yea...most people do. Anyways, I guess this is like a meet-the-blogger thing. I'm 22, I just received my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems (I double majored). Its been a hard road, but as soon as I get clearance I will be finally starting a career. But at this point I'm going for my real dreams, which is to be a music producer, beatmaker extraordinaire, entrepreneur type cat. I was in the band in middle school, I had been in a church choir, and I started makin beats since like 02, so yea music has always been around me. My moms played violin and shit too, if that helps :-\. I decided to halfway step out on a limb and go for my dreams because I mean damn I was gettin rejected from a lot of jobs. I guess I learned quickly that the degree doesn't rub the black off my skin when I scrub it. I watched the CNN report on how being a black man is pretty much equivalent to having a felony on your record when it comes to getting employment and decided to say F this I'd rather be gettin rejected from somethin I love than somethin in which I really didn't dream of doing growing up. The best part about this leap is the support I'm getting from family and friends, its like damn they really believe in me. The toughest part is figuring out how to differentiate myself from the 1347895034850234078957890234 other artists that do music too, I want to stand out ya know? At the end of the day, I believe the American Dream is going for something you really want to do and being happy doing that. I just feel deep down inside that its more to life than working at a job in which you hate and living paycheck to paycheck. I mean I'm prepared to live like that, because I have bills just like any other person, but I still don't think I'm too old to dream and to make em a reality. I'm currently working on two projects. One of em is from a dude named Ledjendary from Fort Worth, I made all the beats on his album except for two, and I must say, this album is dope, and I'm pretty hard on music so yea my word is good lol. The next is MYpersonal project. Its going to feature some artists I reached out to and they showed me mad love by gettin down wit this project. I will mention them when the at project starts to materialize. But yea be out the lookout for some more stuff from me. I will start to post lil clips and stuff as I please, so yea...there is music to back up the shit i'm talkin lol!
